Cindy Billingsley

This artist sculpts mostly realistic pieces. She has many different Categories of work. Some consist of "Wildlife", "unusual animals", " sea life series" , etc. Cindy doesn't just sculpt these forms, she is also a fine art painter. These pieces really inspire me on this project and on my last project. You can clearly see why. :D

Ai WeiWei

porcelain hand painted seeds.first they make the clay from the earth and water, then the clay gets poured into molds/,fired in the kiln, hand painted 3-4 strokes on each side, then they are dried, washed, dried and stored or sold. this project would be less successful because real sunflower seeds would make a mess and by creating these seeds he is creating many jobs. I didnt hear his reason for using these materials in his work ,why it was installed, or what they represent.

Assignment B

http://www.etsy.com/shop/marikoabrownceramics
Aqua Coffee Cup with Luster Blue Tea Bowl with Luster Aqua Blossom Teabowl with Luster
Color, value, line, and balance are demonstrated in this artist's work. I was really inspired by the teacup's shape and handle. It is really unusual and eye catching. The artist M.A. Brown crates delicate mugs and teacups with unique shapes and beautiful flowers on them. She uses a lot of blue and black glaze on porcelain clay.

Assignment A

I think this project will be a success, as long as the teachers and if allowed students don't break the mugs. We all work very hard on our pieces and it would be a shame if that were to happen. But anyways i asm really excited about this project and will be working very hard on it to come out as awesome as possible! The social outreach programs and important because they can connect comtemporary art with every day people. I really hope that this project will be successful.
